In the spring of 2010, Anna accepted enrollment to Temple University and began her search for a roommate to share an 8’x10’ room. She joined the Temple Facebook group and finally found the perfect person! Anna went on to the housing website and chose room 842 and waited for her new roommate to choose the same room. An hour later, Anna logged back on to make sure her roommate joined her room (because she is neurotic and needs instant information at all times) only to find out a different person joined her room. A cheerleader from Berks County named London. Anna was disappointed and thought ‘oh well, it’s not like you have to be best friends with your roommate’. They went on to live together for 5 years, spent 26 days gallivanting around Europe together, moved Anna in and out of ~15 apartments, went on endless girls trips, ate a lot of cheese, laughed, cried, celebrated, and mourned. You get the point. They are stuck together forever now.
Katherine (Kat) Fletcher

In late 2017, Amtrak HR approached Anna to be a mentor for an incoming Management Trainee. Normally, Anna says no to anything HR asks her to do, but for some reason she was feeling nice and agreed to do it. Anna tried really hard to be nice and cool, but it backfired and Kat was afraid of her and they both gave up on the whole mentoring thing. Luckily, it was still pre-covid which meant all of the young engineers went to the bar after work every single Friday. It’s not clear when or what the turning point was, but Kat and Anna eventually became best friends. Kat is now Anna’s confidant, realist, and financial advisor. If you’ve ever been around Kat, even for a short time, you know how much she cares for everyone. Kat is easily one of Eleanor’s favorite people and now, they get to bond over work gossip while raising babies together!

One day in 2013, a new girl (Lindsay) sat down to lunch with a group of interns (one of which was Anna). Lindsay shared with the group that she had just moved to Philly and her new place had a pool and invited all of us over to swim. Anna was very impressed and was optimistic that she too could afford a place with a pool when she became a full time employee at Amtrak (spoiler, she could not). Very quickly in the conversation, Anna realized Lindsay was staying at The Best Western and was referring to the motel pool as her own. Mind you, this was Anna’s very first impression of Lindsay. None of us ever took Lindsay up on the motel pool offer. I’ll spare you the story about Anna lying about losing her ID so she didn’t have to hang out with Lindsay, most of you have heard it by now. Titles Anna and Lindsay have shared over the years: coworkers, best friends, tequila sisters, former coworkers, assumed sisters, roommates, conflicts of interests, former roommates, coworkers, long distance best friends.
Bethy (Beppy/Aunt Snacks)

Anna and Bethy have known each other the shortest amount of time out of all the bridesmaids, but that shouldn’t diminish anything. Since moving back from Ohio, Anna and Bethy spend more time together than with anyone else (not including Ace & Nat). Ace likes to tell the story of the first time Anna met Nate and Beth. Ace left Anna with Beth, Beth’s sister, and Beth’s best friend to go do who knows what with Nate. When Ace came back to “check on” Anna, he found them all laughing and Anna demanding another bottle of wine from him. Early in their friendship, Anna and Bethy shared a love of prosecco, red wine, talking shit, and eating snacks. These hobbies still continue to bring Anna and Bethy together every weekend. Anna and Ace are eternally grateful to Beppy for being Ellie’s favorite person and teaching her all about the best snacks.

Megan was Anna’s favorite cousin when she was a little girl (sorry Bridge & Katie). Megan always took a special interest in Anna when she was little so they’ve always had a special bond. Anna always idolized Megan and wanted to be just like her when she grew up. Megan was even Anna’s confirmation sponsor! Megan’s always been there for Anna and always provides the most realistic life advice. One of Anna’s favorite things about Megan is she always tells it like it is (whether you want to hear it or not). When Megan lived in Manhattan, 14 year old Anna would take the train from Port Jervis to visit her. One time in particular, Megan offered to take Anna to the zoo or Central Park, but all teenage Anna wanted to do was buy a fake purse on Canal Street. Megan, being the best big cousin, took her to Canal Street. Now that’s she’s older, Anna realizes how lame that was.
Teddy (Ted) Moyer

Teddy is Anna & Ace’s niece that they often try to steal from her parents so they can hang out with her (or make her make tamales). Teddy loves Dr. Pepper, playing with Ellie, and driving Uncle Ace crazy by leaving her Starbucks cup in the back of his car. Teddy is the best big cousin to Ellie, even if they both love to torture each other. She has the biggest heart when it comes to Ellie and will do anything for her. Teddy is Ellie’s personal hair stylist and Elmo nutcracker provider. Anna & Ace are so excited to have Teddy back from Ohio and by their sides on their wedding day.

Audrey is Anna’s little cousin and has been making her laugh since she was a toddler. Seriously, she’s always been one of the funniest people Anna has even known. When Audrey was little, Anna always joked she was going to make a whole book of the funny things Audrey said. One of Anna’s favorite quotes was from Christmas time when she asked Audrey what Santa was bringing. Audrey simply answered “I’m leaving it up to Santa this year”. Audrey is so excited to be a junior bridesmaid and can’t wait to be part of the big day. With her big personality, quick wit, and sweet heart, Anna is so lucky to have Audrey by her side.

LT is Anna’s youngest cousin. For a large chunk of Anna & Ace’s relationship, LT had his own wing in their house. LT is always tagging along with Anna and Ace whether it’s Scranton for parade day, the lake house, Troegs and Hershey World, or just Philadelphia for a night. LT is like a little brother to Anna & Ace and they love taking care of him.
