We’re finally having this wedding!

Jack and Cassidy met in Tokyo, Japan after matching on tinder only 2 days prior. Being in the train station they knew who they were meeting because they were the only other American in the train station. Jack showed up wearing wearing a blue Hawaiian shirt, blue jeans, flip flops, and a ukulele on his back. Cassidy took him to a bar her and her flight attendant friends liked to go to. They really hit it off, Love at first sight for Jack & Cassidy! They went on to date for two years, Cassidy flying out and seeing him (almost) every week. They took a few vacations stateside together and many adventures around japan together.

It’s no secret that 2020 had its difficulties. Due to the obvious Cassidy wasn’t allowed into japan and Jack wasn’t allowed to see Cassidy because she hadn’t been quarantined, but love knows no limit. Jack proposed to Cassidy in between one of Cassidy’s routine trips from Seattle to Japan to Korea. She was on the ground in Japan for only 2 hours and Jack visited her they only place she was allowed to go into japan… the Smoke pit outside the flight line on Misawa Air Base. He gave her a gold band and asked her if she was going to put it on. Cassidy brought a silicon ring for Jack to wear too. With all the excitement of being engaged and wanting to be together as soon as possible and with the difficulties of the present the two discovered they qualified for a double proxy marriage; only legal to be preformed in the state of Montana. They signed a few notarized letters and sent a check for the small fee and a week later in their inbox they got an email saying congratulations July 17, 2020 is the day you were married! The two went two months without seeing each other at all after they were married. But at last Cassidy was allowed to move to Japan with her new husband in November of 2020. Where they spent their first Christmas together.

Cassidy and jack lived in japan for the remainder of jacks navy career. They moved back to the USA in March of 2022, and when they moved back Cassidy was 5 months pregnant with their daughter Olive. They moved to Novato living in the detached in-law suite on jacks parents property. They welcomed their baby girl just 11 days shy of their 2 year wedding anniversary. Jack regained his EMT status and since got a job with the San Francisco Fire Department. Cassidy stays home raising their daughter, and decided that it’s now time to finally have the wedding of their dreams and celebrated with their family & friends!
