Meander down one of America’s best Main Streets, according to Country Living Magazine, where flower baskets are blooming and restaurant patios are booming. Enjoy live music and al fresco dining at Muldoon’s Irish Pub, Peace Water Winery, Anthony's Chophouse, Bazbeaux Pizza (get the quattro formaggio), Bub’s Burgers & Ice Cream, or Indie Coffee Roasters. Oh, and be sure to pop into Silver in the City (Katie's favorite gift shop.)
The plaza features a lawn and TV screen to watch sporting events and movies, a stage for live music, ping pong tables and plenty of places to sit. Some of our favorite spots in this area include Sun King Taproom & Distillery, 3UP Rooftop Lounge, Garden Table, Wine & Rind, Social Cantina, and Fork + Ale House.
Check out Carmel City Center (walkable from the Carmel Arts & Design District) for the Carmel Farmer's Market and Hotel Carmichael. It's another great area for boutique shopping and dining. If you find yourself over there, we recommend Matt The Miller's Tavern or the enchanting, award-winning Cake Bake Shop!
The Monon Trail is a very safe, paved, multipurpose trail that travels right through the Carmel Arts and Design District. We encourage anyone to take it over to the Carmel Farmer's Market located on the Carter Green (near Carmel City Center) on Saturday morning between 8 - 11:30am.
The Fairfield Inn & Suites (where you can find our booking discount) is just a 5 minute drive from all the happenings listed above in the heart of Carmel. There are a few gems over here that we recommend: Rosie's Place (Katie's favorite brunch spot), Bar Louie, RIZE, BRU Burger Bar, and Fat Dan's Chicago-Style Deli.
