If you have extra time, the Marin Headlands and Muir Woods offer beautiful hikes and redwood forests. July weather is typically sunny but breezy near the water, so layers are recommended. Whether you spend the day on the water, wandering town, or simply relaxing by the bay, you really can’t go wrong here, it’s the kind of place that makes you slow down and enjoy the moment. Ferries and rideshares (Uber/Lyft) are often easier than parking on busy summer days.
