Mark and I met in a nightclub back in 2009 at a club by the name of Club Fluid. It was there that we exchanged numbers and of course added each other on Facebook. Over the years Mark was very persistent in keeping in contact with me that eventually after about 7 years of trying I finally gave in :). One night he invited me out, we met for drinks and kept in contact and eventually became an item. We eventually progressed to have Ms. Morgan who we call a Carbon Copy of myself. After all of this we figured "okay maybe this can work longer than we think!" and...here we are..ready to become one... :)
In December 2018 Mark and I decided to take a quick trip to NYC with a group of friends who all knew, except for me of course, that this journey was about to take a turn for the better. We got into cold NYC and I could remember how excited I was to show Mark the sights, sounds and experience the winter cold whilst getting in the Christmas Spirit of my favorite city New York. Little did I know, after a long day of negotiating on Rolex watches in ChinaTown in the bitter COLD LOL, that night my life would change forever. The night began with everyone agreeing to battle the 30 degree cold and head to Times Square so we could've taken some pics and head to the Rockefeller Christmas Tree. It was in Times Square at the Red Steps, I walked up for what I thought would be an innocent Photo Opp, only to turn around to Mark on his knees, with a ring, asking me to Marry him. At first my response was "What?!?!" and as I walked towards him, I instantly began to get lightheaded LOL. Ironically, in all my lightheadedness I heard my mother (whom I faced timed earlier that morning from in the Bahamas) screaming "its an engagement and that's my daughter". It was at this point I started to question if I was in bed or really in Times Square. After about which felt like 30,000 steps, I finally arrived to Mark where he asked me the age old question "Will you Marry Me?" and I responded with an "Of Course!" and It was then that this Journey to Miller began... We are so excited to share this next chapter of our Journey with you. We look forward to seeing you as we become one in the presence of our dear Family and Friends. See you soon!
