As many of you know Aleks is originally from Switzerland, son of Croatian and Serbian parents. (Aleks speaks lots of languages is what we are saying here.) As cool as it is already knowing Croatian, Serbian, Swiss german and some Spanish... he wanted to show off even more and edumacate himself further! So, he set out to Los Angeles to advance his English with a bunch of other students from all over the world. One Saturday night, November 2016 he was out in West Hollywood celebrating a birthday with his classmates. The bday girl insisted she wanted the Weho gay bar experience so they all went off to view some buff men in thongs at The Abbey in true LA manner. As for Saira, it was just another Saturday night out with her bestie Michael and of course Aleks caught her eye. She asked Michael, "Is that guy looking at me or is he looking at you?" Michael said "I don't think he's gay" Saira sips her Tequila soda and says "Im gonna go ask". She goes up to Aleks and says "Are you gay or are you straight?" Aleks replied "What is straight?" Very confused detecting an accent she said "Wait where are you from? He said Switzerland! Saira asked "Wait, so are you gay?" Aleks said, NO NO NOT GAY! It was a wrap people. She was like "Oh thas the one", and he was like "Oh I'm gonna marry that beautiful woman." Hi, its me. Saira. I'm writing the story. ANYWAY. They hung out the entire night and went on a second date the day after to watch a soccer game at a bar. Little did she know he was a HUGE soccer fan and this was a foreshadow into his (cute but crazy) soccer addiction. They fell MADLY in love, spent 2 years dating long distance. Got engaged in Croatia with both of their families present, then got married by court in 2018 so they could live together in America. 2 years into the pandemic they decided to not push their wedding back further and took the plunge! We have waited so long for this moment, it's sure to be a memorable night. We are so excited and hope you can join us!
