Take a hike on Tubbs Hill Nature Trails: Right in the heart of downtown Coeur d’Alene, explore the wild beauty of the publicly owned Tubbs Hill peninsula with an easy trek on the Tubbs Hill Nature Trail. The 2 mile trail loop along Lake Coeur d’Alene offers historical points along the way, plus there are terrific photo opportunities. It's a great option for a leisurely walk or a more challenging hike. Cliff jumping can be done east of the beach. 25-30 foot cliffs.
Mineral Ridge Scenic Area
Mineral Ridge Hike: 3.3-mile loop that offers outstanding views over Beauty and Wolf Lodge bays of Coeur d’Alene Lake, with excellent interpretive signage along the trail
North Idaho Centennial Trail
Bike along the North Idaho Centennial Trail: This 24-mile paved trail runs from the Idaho-Washington state line to Higgens Point, offering a scenic route for biking, walking, or jogging. Rent bikes for your guests and enjoy a day of outdoor exploration
Hiawatha Mountain Bike Trail
A former railroad line, the Route of the Hiawatha was converted into a spectacularly beautiful, gentle 15-mile downhill biking and walking trail. Known as the “Crown Jewel” of rail-to-trails, this route showcases ten tunnels, including the 1.6 mile St. Paul Pass Tunnel, and seven sky-high trestle bridges. Riders begin at Lookout Pass Ski Area where trail passes and mountain bike rentals (including helmets and lights and an optional return shuttle service) are available.
