We’re getting married!

Louis and Destany met at American Canyon High School in 2014. They didn't begin talking to each other until homecoming of their senior year, October 2014. They went with a group of friends to Denny's following the dance and Destany gave Louis a ride home. On that ride home they listened to music, Destany learned a lot about Louis and she knew then that he had a good and genuine vibe. From that point on, they got to know each other more and more every day during off-campus lunch dates, free movie theater dates (Destany was working there at the time), and different family events they would attend. Destany and Louis started officially dating in March of 2015. Louis asked Destany to be his girlfriend one night when he was dropping her off at home. They soon graduated high school that June. Destany went off to San Jose State University while Louis stayed close to home and attended Contra Costa Community College. They were about an hour away from each other and would see each other occasionally on weekends. Destany returned home after a year and decided she wanted to change her education path. She then moved back home and attended Napa Valley Community College. At the same time Louis was getting ready to transfer to MidAmerica Nazarene University in Kansas to play football. The distance between them helped them to appreciate and love each other even more while also being able to focus on their personal lives and goals in school. Louis proposed to Destany on their three year anniversary. During Louis' spring break, he flew home from Kansas for the weekend to surprise Destany at her job with roses. Destany's boss gave her the rest of the day off and they enjoyed lunch and Black Panther for the second time. Destany was so surprised and had no idea that Louis was planning to propose later that night. He took her to Ruth's Chris and after a delicious dinner Louis got on one knee and asked Destany if she would marry him.
