Ryan and Lindsay met in Grand Rapids through mutual friends at a loud and red bar called The Meanwhile. They exchanged laughs, then exchanged phone numbers. After two dates, they were making three hour drives through blizzards to see each other. They now live in Grand Rapids and have acquired four cats and a loving home.

Ryan proposed to Lindsay on October 13, 2018. They were having an exceptional day doing what they love to do on Saturdays, clean the house. As Lindsay was doing the dishes, jamming to some Tunde Olaniran, Ryan tapped her on the shoulder as he got down on one knee. She said yes! Then they went golfing and face-timed everyone they knew between each hole.
