We ultimately met through mutual friends. We always joke looking back on it that God kept trying to bring us together long before we met. When Maddie was at Airborne School, out of a class of 300 people, she met Connor (Groomsman). After sitting across from someone for 8+ hours for 7 days straight, you get to know alot about one another (Connor if you are reading this, no you wouldn't win in a fight against a Kangaroo). Even though Connor and Maddie became friends they never hung out upon their return to Fort Bragg. Once again, God got involved. Not only did Connor end up in the same Battalion as Maddie, but so did Freddy (Groomsman), and Ryan (Best Man). Maddie worked directly with Freddy in Geronimo but once again, no one got together outside of work. Maddie met Logan through his roommate, only to find out he was good friends with Connor, Freddy, and Ryan. It only took Maddie getting injured on a jump, having two ankle surgeries, being moved to a completely different Brigade, and journeying through new beginnings to encounter Logan. Truly, God worked hard on this one. This is when a beautiful friendship formed. If you know Logan, you know he comes off as stoic, and if you know Maddie you know she is smiley and optimistic. As our #1 cheerleaders, Alaina (Bridesmaid) and Bri would say, "You are grumpy and she is sunshine". When the time felt right, Logan asked Maddie out on a date to a little downtown bookstore followed by an Uncle Lucius concert. As if Maddie could ever say no a bookstore. Slow dancing to "Keep The Wolves Away" will always be a core memory for us. Now we are here with two dogs, one cat, a ton of books (from all the bookstore dates of course), one ring, and one limitless bond. We cannot wait for you to join us as we go from one ring to three, and make the most sacred pinky promise known to man.
