Heidi and Max are getting married in Florida in May in a small private ceremony. They are so excited to come back and celebrate with everyone on June 8, 2024 at the welcome home reception.
Max and Heidi met the summer after second grade when their moms started teaching together at Wylie Prep. Heidi vividly remembers him in a navy-blue jacket, standing on a blue desk chair when his mom made him get down to shake her hand and introduce himself. That year, as they progressed through third grade, they dreamed about living in a barndominium together one day with their matching horse Bibles. They continued to build their friendship over the years. By the time they were freshmen in high school, Max took Heidi to their first homecoming dance together. Within a few short months, they had their first kiss at the age of 14. They kept this a secret from everyone, but their families knew they were in love. Their families kept encouraging them to just remain friends to protect their friendship. So, Heidi and Max did just that. They continued to grow their friendship and attended every school dance together. They were always each other's person. They were always each other's safe place. They were always each other's best friends. Finally, at the age of 16, they made their dating relationship official. They spent the rest of high school going to Max's football games, studying together, letting Max cheat off of Heidi's schoolwork, and falling deeper in love. They were ecstatic when they both decided to move to College Station and live in the same neighborhood. Moving to college matured them, grew them closer together, and solidified their love for each other. Max proposed to Heidi on April 29, 2023, and they are thrilled to start their life together back where it all began.
