FAQs

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will be outdoors so keeping the weather in mind is important. Louisiana weather at this time of year can vary, but evenings are generally cool and not too cold or warm. Cold or warm fronts can impact this, so checking the weather forecast a few days ahead of time is recommended.

Question

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

We would appreciate cocktail/semi-formal. Knee to floor length dresses are acceptable, as well as button-down shirts and ties. Coats/suit jackets are also great!

Question

Where are the ceremony and the reception taking place?

Answer

All wedding events will be at The Rivers Retreat. The ceremony will be held in a grassy area, and we will second line to the covered pavilion for the reception!

Question

Where should guests park? Is parking free?

Answer

There is free parking on premises.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, we appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us. Children 13 and older are welcome.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

If you have a partner or date to bring, please make sure they are listed on the RSVP so our guest count is accurate. We ask that plus-ones are limited to spouses or significant others, or someone known by the bride and groom.

Question

When is the RSVP deadline? Do I need to mail back my RSVP or can I do it online?

Answer

Please RSVP on our website by October 15th, 2026.

Question

Will there be any vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free or special diet options?

Answer

Please contact me ahead of time with any dietary restrictions and we will ensure everyone has a meal, or indicate your restrictions on the RSVP.

Question

Where are you registered?

Answer

We have a small amazon wishlist and a honeymoon fund you may contribute to! Both are linked on the registry page of our website.
