We would love to see our closest family and friends get dressed up for our big day. The dress code is Formal. Ladies can wear cocktail-length, tea-length, midi, or floor-length formal dresses. Gentlemen can wear a suit and tie or tux. Please avoid wearing jeans or any colors that could resemble white or ivory. Additionally, the back lawn grass is soft, so re-think stilettos! September in North Carolina is often warm, averaging 77 degrees during the day, and 67 degrees after sunset.
Due to limited venue capacity, we are unable to accommodate plus ones unless it is specifically indicated on your envelope. For example, your envelope would list "(your name) & Guest" or your plus one's name. For families, it will list "The (your last name) Family". When you go to RSVP, you will be able to see the exact number of people you can RSVP for.
While we love your little ones, our wedding will be an adults-only event so everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us!
The ceremony will take place outside on the back lawn of the venue (weather permitting). Should there be inclement weather, the ceremony will be moved inside to the main reception area.
The ceremony will begin at 5:00 pm on Saturday, September 9th. We kindly ask guests to arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of the ceremony. This will give you time to enjoy the venue, sign the guest book, silence all phones, and be ushered to your seat by the groomsmen.
During the ceremony. the front two rows of seats will be reserved for the bride and groom’s families. The next two rows will be reserved for members of the Winston Salem Fire Department and Beeson’s Crossroads Fire Department. The remaining rows will be open seating so feel free to sit wherever you please. For the reception, we will be carefully arranging tables so our guests are sat with those they know (or their plus one or partner).
We kindly ask that no photos or videos be taken during the wedding ceremony. We want our guests to be fully present in the moment with us. (Plus, we have an INCREDIBLE photography and videography team who will be sure to capture every moment 😉 ) Aside from the ceremony, we would love to have as many photos and videos captured of our wedding day as possible, especially from our family and friends' points of view! We would also love for you to share any photos/videos you have with us so we can enjoy them until our professional images and videos are ready.
You all know Tyler and I love to have a good time! We will have an open bar, including beer, wine, and liquor, during cocktail hour and the reception. Outside alcohol is strictly prohibited per the venue policy, and a strict no-shot policy is in place. If you plan to consume alcoholic beverages, please ensure you have a designated driver or transportation arranged. We do not encourage drinking and driving.
The venue has plenty of free parking onsite. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer free transportation, so we recommend having a designated driver. We currently have rooms blocked at two local hotels, the Days Inn by Wyndham in Lexington and the Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott in downtown Winston-Salem. For all the details regarding the room blocks, please visit the "Travel" tab. We have also listed other hotel/lodging options under the "Travel" tab for your convenience.
You can utilize our personal travel agent, France Area at Voila Travel Service. Please see the "Travel" tab for more details.
Per Board and Batten Events, Uber and Lyft are unreliable forms of transportation to or from the venue. If you plan to use this option, we recommend scheduling this ahead of time to ensure a ride is available when you are ready to leave.
There is ample parking at the venue for our guests; however, carpooling is recommended. Please note that cars cannot be left overnight, so plan accordingly for a safe ride home.
Yes! Onsite guest parking will be available, and the venue has ramps to accommodate wheelchairs.
Our RSVP deadline has officially passed and we have received all RSVPs at this time. Please contact the bride and groom directly if you have any questions or need to change your response. We can't wait to celebrate with you!
You will surely be missed! If you can't attend our wedding, please contact the bride and groom directly.
