Enter 2nd grade, Mrs. Larson’s class. That was our meet cute. But really, the real moment was third grade when we accidentally dropped the hermit crabs on the floor. From the crabs to the haunted fence stories to our trampoline musicals to hiding under the risers in choir to having nicknames for crushes to being on TRACK (it’s all a fever dream to me) to graduating high school to our volunteering trips to dancing to Shakira to graduating college to celebrating in DISNEY (the list goes on), we are now fully equipped adults...or are we?! Mairna now has a BCBA and helps children with autism. But most importantly, she is my best friend.

Well, our meet cute was definitely less cute. I basically showed up one day to shake things up. I quite literally broke his only copy of his favorite PS1 game, always inserted myself as player 2, and was generally obnoxious as a little brother. But that’s not to say he didn’t have his own faults, gifting me a Barbie House when I wanted anything but. All that said, I wouldn’t want anyone else as a brother. Matthew is a lawyer in the D.

We found love in a hopeless place — school and work. I picked him for a group project in Advertising in 2017 and it’s all history from there. Call it good intuition. I could always count on Hunter to talk me into going clubbing after long shifts in college, gossiping with me all night, and having those real real conversations. That’s my bestie in a Tesse!!! Hunter is a Marketing Specialist.

I’ll let Amanda take over this one. Alec has always been a brother to me and that’s literally what I tell people because cousin just doesn’t do it justice. Alec and Brent were my best friends growing up, feeding me dog treats, watching scary movies, riding on the back as I drove the MoPed, tubing, water skiing, playing poker, playing monopoly all night, and gossiping about anything and everyone. They basically created my high standards. Alec lives in Denver, CO with his amazing girlfriend Sadie and works as an Auditor!

My Saiiiiiiiii!!! Our meet cute was 6th grade English class where we got grouped together to read the same book. Suddenly, we were making up our own theme songs and have grown closer ever since. I literally would not have gotten through undergrad without this girl. We saw each other nearly everyday and bickered like sisters. She also loves to listen to Ryan gossip about his work problems unsolicited while I’m getting ready to go out. This bestie is always up for a good adventure, but also down to literally do nothing and enjoy each other’s company. Sai works as a Marketing Analyst.

The other half of Alec, Brent is one of my favorite people. He helped me celebrate my big 21st birthday, even going to the karaoke bar and singing ‘Stacy’s Mom’ with Ryan. He is nearly always the winner of monopoly, although me and Alec are convinced there is cheating going on. One of my favorite memories is going up north with them and their friends when I was 18 and doing all of the outdoor activities. That’s the thing — they never failed to include me even with their friends. Brent works in Supply Chain Management!

These next two stories are wild to me. COVID brought us together. It’s 2020, the world is in isolation and what do I do? I make a YouTube channel about BOOKS and meet some of the best friends I know. From reading each other’s favorite books to having 4 hour liveshows together to our Traverse City trip and dress shopping, Jess and I became super close. It may also be our love for Harry Styles and Taylor Swift. Jess is a flight attendant and lives in New Jersey.

It was XBOX who brought us together. It was love at first sight. Endless nights on call of duty, this guy lives in another INFERIOR state, but I still managed to cross that border into Ohio and meet Nick for the first time when I was 15. Fast forward and I’m in his wedding and now he’s in mine. I can always count on Nick to pick up right where we left off and to always have my back even when I get killed first in COD. Nick works in Sales and lives with his wonderful wife, Jordyn in Ohio.

My sister-in-law! Matthew and Chelsea are the ultimate power couple. She always knows how to have a good time and pop open the wine. From our love of stories to our doggos to good games, it was meant to be. Chelsea is a nurse practitioner.

For us, it was elementary school. Mairna, Lena, and I were the three musketeers, always having shopping sprees together. We have tons of halloween memories, birthdays, pool days, the awkward middle school years, senior prom, college volunteer weeks, concerts, EVERYTHING! My childhood definitely wouldn't have been the same without her! Lena is a Graphic Designer.

My favorite southern gal! Talking to a camera led to talking to each other and now she’s in my wedding! I knew we were gonna be besties when she started sending me unsolicited (but appreciated) pics of her corgi, Lenny, and videos of her trying tik tok dances. We bonded over our love for trash tv, rom coms, and our shared tendency to decide to start new projects at midnight. Care is a Communications Manager in Georgia.

We simply stole Matt and Chelsea’s officiant because it was easier than finding one ourselves. LOL! Dupree is a blast to be around and is so easy to talk to. He will also dance with you to Taylor Swift, which is an instant pro. Dupree is a lawyer (and proclaimed officiant).
