Shenandoah National Park
You cannot visit Virginia without experiencing Shenandoah! Come take a drive through Skyline Drive and stop at some at some of the amazing waterfalls (like White Okay Canyon). Such a beautiful place to explore and hike. This is also where we got engaged so it holds a very special place in our hearts.
Monticello
One of Charlottesville's most historical sites. Monticello was the home of Thomas Jefferson! If you're feeling even more adventurous, there is a bridge walk/hike leading up the property that we love!
University of Virginia
Come check out the adorable city of Charlottesville and explore the university Thomas Jefferson designed. Check out the Rotunda and all of the beautiful architecture on this campus! Also right around the corner, is the University's hospital which Makeda thinks is pretty cool :P
Carters Mountain Orchard
Carters Mountain is a great place to come pick your own fruit, enjoy come cider, and check out the views of Charlottesville!
Blue Mountain Brewery
Blue Mountain Brewery sits in the shadow of Appalachia’s Blue Ridge Mountains in Afton, Virginia. They are a farm brewery who grow their own hops. Its a great place to hang out with an amazing view and an incredible scenic drive. You can easily hop to other breweries and vineyards after visiting blue mountain. Afton offers many great places to check out!

Just 10 minutes from Charlottesville, Jefferson Vineyards is located in the heart of America’s most historic winemaking region, neighboring Monticello, President Thomas Jefferson’s residence and Highland, the home of President James Monroe.

Tubing on The James or Rivanna River!

Come eat, drink, shop, and enjoy in downtown Charlottesville. Just a short trolley ride away from the university! We love to come walk around and enjoy this adorable and historical area! Come check out the farmers market on Saturday or the live free music on Fridays!
