It's FINALLY Happening!

We met on bumble! Bumble is a dating app that requires women to make the first move, and that's how we met. Heather has continued this pattern from start to finish... Heather's coworkers told her it was her year to find someone. They tried everything with her, even a group outing after work to play bingo! Finally one encouraged her to use dating apps, insisting that if Heather didn't do it, it would be done for her. She laughed, and said she'd try it for a week on her own, but if nothing happened she was perfectly happy being single forever. On September 19, 2019 Heather spotted this handsome bearded man and decided to message him. To her surprise, he instantly sent a message back. They hit it off right away!

On September 28, 2019 Heather asked Justin to go see the live action Lion King, but she didn't realize he wasn't a big Disney fan! This is something she's still working on. Justin agreed to the date, and the plans were made. When Heather offered to buy candy to bring along, Justin chose peanut m&m's and reese's pieces (the noisiest candy that has ever been made), and shook the box during the entire movie. When they first met at the theater, each of them was awkward, but they both knew this was an important moment. Heather told him right away that she was nervous and tried to just breathe. Justin kept making her laugh which helped, and had random moments where he would look at her and motion to take a deep breath. While they were buying popcorn and drinks, the cashier told Justin his date was very pretty. Heather blushed, and Justin said she was beautiful, which made her blush even more. Heather then almost dropped her drink. This likely surprises no one, as the staples from her last fall were removed from her head a few days before they started talking. Justin learned very fast that Heather is always a danger to herself in the simplest of scenarios.

The day started with church, followed by binge watching The Umbrella Academy- a normal Sunday for the two. It was getting later in the evening and Heather asked Justin to go with her for a drive. She didn't tell him where they were going, but asked him to humor her. She parked on the side of the road in the middle of the country, within sight of the interstate. Heather asked Justin to get out with her. Her only plan was for them to dance under the stars. She started playing the song she will walk down the aisle to, and they began to dance. Justin thought Heather was going to give him bad news about her health. They both got a little emotional, so Heather decided life was short and she was going to go for it. She got down on one knee when the song ended and asked. Justin immediately said yes! Soon, Heather began to laugh, as she hadn't planned on proposing, and it definitely wasn't the proposal she had always dreamed of. Justin then got down on one knee and proposed to her as well. Even though it wasn't traditional or normal, it was perfect!
