FAQs

The Wedding Website of Natalie Fountain and Nathan Martyn
Question

Wedding

Answer

We're excited to celebrate our love for each other with you. The wedding ceremony is outside on the Longs Peak Lawn at The Stanley Hotel. The cocktail hour and reception is nearby at The Pavilion. If Mother Nature decides to go torrential for our wedding ceremony, we'll move our celebration of love into The Pavilion. Be ready to have fun when it comes to getting your groove on -- just cut loose!

Question

Parking at The Stanley

Answer

There is limited parking at The Stanley Hotel and grounds. If you are staying at The Stanley Hotel, you won't have any issues. If you are staying offsite, please let the parking attendant know that you are a guest for the Fountain Martyn wedding so you are not charged the visitor parking fee.

Question

Altitude

Answer

Estes Park, Colorado is 7,522 feet above sea level. Your body will need time to adjust to this elevation. If you're traveling through Denver or Boulder, consider stopping for a few hours in either of these areas to sightsee, eat, and hydrate (drink H2O!) before heading up to Estes Park. Question

Hydration (and sunscreen)

Answer

Drink plenty of water. Start hydrating a week before the wedding to help you feel your best when you're in the mountains. While you're at it, remember to apply sunscreen because sun exposure at higher elevation sneaks up on you.

Question

Lions, elk, and bears, oh my!

Answer

Chances are you'll see plenty of elk, possibly moose, marmot, pika, and chipmunks if you take the tram. It is bear and mountain lion country so be wildlife aware. Do not leave outside doors open (lodge building doors or room doors) or food outside unattended. If you do, you might experience unexpected visitors. When in the wilderness hike in groups of three or more. Talking or singing while hiking simply makes it more enjoyable and gives wildlife a heads up that you're in the area so they aren't accidentally spooked.
