Steph will tell you she had no idea that Corbett was in her 8th grade Bible class. Seriously, she did not know this till after they started dating. In the fall of 2016, after a LCA football game Corbett confessed his crush to a friend of Steph's in a McDonalds parking lot. Soon into the night Steph was informed of this information and quickly told her friend to shut it down. 9 months later of being "just friends" Steph asked Corbett out on a date to a local coffee shop and a month later they were official.

Steph had been telling Corbett for a couple of weeks that she wanted to go to Isabella's, a local upscale Italian restaurant. Corbett knew then that after dinner he would propose. Corbett had planned to ask her in the backyard of his family's home. He had spent all week getting the area prepared just to have it be rained out. However, nothing was going to stop him from asking Stephanie to be his wife. As his family moved everything inside, Corbett drove Steph the 30 mins back to his house. All the while, Steph thought they were just going to make desserts. She was "slightly" annoyed because she thought he would be preposing. Up until they walked in the door she almost stopped him to explain how she was annoyed ;) As they walked in the door she realized what was going on and said "Absolutely."
