We're Getting Married!

After years of George relentlessly annoying Bessie throughout middle and high school, fate had a sense of humor when their paths crossed again two years after graduation—this time at a local gym. While friends and family were convinced they were secretly dating, George and Bessie were genuinely just enjoying each other’s company as friends. That friendship quickly deepened over two years of daily FaceTime calls and late nights at the gym. Eventually, George gathered the courage to make the first move, asking Bessie out on a ramen date. One date turned into many—movie nights, dinners, and the unmistakable realization that what they had was something truly special. Everything changed in the summer of 2023 when George left for an internship in Tampa. The day he departed was filled with tears, and before heading off, they said “I love you” for the very first time. Despite the distance, their love only grew stronger through three months of road trips and flights back and forth to see one another. When George asked Bessie to move to Tampa with him after the internship, she didn’t hesitate for a second—and together, they began their next chapter. Before settling into life in Tampa, George and Bessie embarked on their very first trip together: a two-week adventure in Japan. It was the perfect test of their newfound love and a glimpse into the many adventures that awaited them. In May of 2025, under the warm Italian sun, George planned the most perfect proposal and asked Bessie to spend forever with him. With joyful hearts and happy tears, she said yes. Surrounded by love, laughter, and the journey that brought them here, George and Bessie cannot wait to say “I do” and begin forever together in September 2026.
