Some love stories start with a swipe. Ours started with crayons and recess. We first met in elementary school—two kids who had no idea they’d just bumped into their future forever. By high school, we were inseparable best friends, the kind who laughed through every hallway moment and ended up going to prom together, smiling like we already knew something special was happening. In the summer of 2015, friendship turned into something more, and we dated for two wonderful years. Life took us in different directions for a little while, but time apart only made it clearer that our story wasn’t finished. Everything changed in 2020 over a four-hour lunch at Blu Fig—where catching up felt effortless and familiar, like coming home. We were officially together again, this time with an even deeper appreciation for what we had. Soon after, we packed up and moved to Tennessee to start a new chapter side by side. We spent three years building a life there before the most unforgettable moment: on her 27th birthday—October 25, 2024—he brought the story full circle by proposing at the very elementary school where it all began. In 2025, we moved to North Carolina ready for our next adventure. Soon after, we adopted our perfect golden doodle Nash. Three states, two cities, and one very loved dog later, we cannot wait to start our newest chapter as husband and wife.
