Black Tie Wedding: Tuxes and Long Dresses Preferred and Encouraged. Dark Suits and Long Dresses Acceptable. Neckties Required. If you have any specific questions please reach out directly to Ian and Alyson respectively.

Wedding Ceremony Seating
Answer
We ask that everyone take a seat on either side of the wedding aisle. We understand that traditionally the brides side of the family is on the left and the grooms side is on the right. However, the Marcinkowski's are very many, and the Morrison's are very few. To create a more harmonious balance and provide the best seating for everyone, please take the closest seat to the front on either side of the aisle. Thank you so much for entertaining this ask from the Bride and Groom.

Reception Parking Instructions
Answer
Free (covered) self parking has been reserved in the Comerica Parking Garage. There is no valet for this event. This parking garage is located right next door to the Colony Club. Do not leave your cars overnight. We encourage everyone not to drive. Garage Address: 50 W Montcalm St, Detroit, MI 48201 INSTRUCTIONS: When pulling up to the gate, on the screen select: OTHER ACCESS OPTIONS Then Select: I HAVE AN ACCESS CODE ENTER ACCESS CODE: 2930 A ticket will print that you will hold onto and use to exit the garage.

Other Parking & Commuting
Answer
Ceremony Parking: There is free (uncovered) parking at the Cathedral on the backside. Do not leave your car there after the ceremony ends. It is a ten minute Uber/Lyft from the Church to the hotels and reception venue. All mentioned and surrounding hotels are within a five to ten minute walk of the reception venue or a less than five minute Uber/Lyft.

Is this event Indoors or Outdoors?
Answer
Both the wedding ceremony and reception will be indoors. Rest assure that the air conditioning will be running and keeping everyone very comfortable.

Is this adults only?
Answer
No. The wedding ceremony and reception are kid friendly upon invite. However, many have already indicated/elected to find babysitters for the wedding reception in the evening. If you have further questions regarding this please reach out to Ian and Alyson directly.

Will there be an open bar?
Answer
We like where your head is at. Yes, there will be an open bar during cocktail hour and throughout the reception. We encourage you to indulge, enjoy, and let your hair down on the dance floor! Bring that energy and ride it through the night!

What time does Cocktail Hour Begin?

The doorman will be happy to greet everyone and usher you to the open bar starting at 5:30PM.

May I bring a plus one?
Answer
Your invitation will indicate whether or not you have the option to bring a guest. If you do not see an option for this and would like one, please reach out to Ian and Alyson. Seating is limited but we will do our best to make accommodations for everyone.

Should I eat before?
Answer
There will be plenty of food at the wedding reception to leave everyone completely full and satisfied. And that's coming from Ian.

May I leave early because I don't like having fun?
Answer
No, you may not. If you're not feeling it, Ian will personally assist you with a bottle of champagne. Does the trick every time. You're welcome.

Will there be an after party?

Your wish is our command. We are more than happy to ride out the night into the morning with all of you.
