UPDATE!

Postponed!!

With everything that is happening in the world Janelle and I thought it would be safest to currently postpone the wedding until its safer for everyone. We want to celebrate this day with as much of our family and friends as possible, and currently we are not able to do that. We will keep everyone updated as things roll along. We thank everyone for their support and hope to see you soon! -Jerm

How We Met Each Other

A Regal Romance

I met Jeremy in the summer of 2011. I had just started my first job at a local movie theater, Regal Cinemas 16. I was a working girl now and as such, I decided that I wasn't going to worry about boys or other stuff. I was gonna do me. But it turns out God had other plans. It was my second or third day at work and a coworker was giving me the grand tour of the place. We finally arrived at concessions and that was where I first laid eyes on the boy that was introduced to me as Jeremy Cubillo. Cubillo sounded very familiar, a name I had heard around my high school. I asked if he was Jonathan's brother and he just rolled his eyes and walked away. Little did I know, that was the first time I would meet my future husband and the first time he would give me sass. I didn't think much of it though. As I said, I was here to make money. And of course, this wouldn't be the last time I saw him. After all, we worked together now. Over the course of a few weeks we began to talk more and more as I had with my other coworkers. One day, I was sitting in the breakroom alone on my lunch break. This solitude was short lived however, when none other than Jeremy walks in. I don't remember word for word what he said, but I do recall him making fun of me for having Lunchables for lunch. We chatted a little more and he commented on how delicious my Oreos looked. I offered him one but he refused saying, "It's no fun if you just give it to me." "Your loss," I said. As he walked towards the door the lights shut off for a few seconds. When they turned back on, he was gone and so was one of my Oreos. Jeremy wasn't making himself out to be Prince Charming in my books. He was sassy and now he was a thief. Nevertheless, we became friends and began to hang out outside of work. In this time, I would change my mind about friend zoning him. And he would go on to steal another belonging of mine... my heart. And the rest, as they say, is history. I'm not crying, YOU ARE.

The Proposal

April 03, 2018

Something in my heart told me that today was going to be the day. So I told her that after work we were going to take birthday pictures with Duke for his 2nd Birthday, so we can put them on postcards and send them to our friends and family. I told her I even got him a new collar for the photo shoot. I scouted a good vantage point earlier that day, she wanted an intimate setting just her and I. She got off work and I told her to get dressed for our "photo shoot". She had no clue what was happening. We drove over to Harbor island and parked across the Sunroad Resort. From there you can get a perfect view of downtown and the Coronado Bridge. I told Janelle to stand in the spot as I set up the camera on a bench. I took Duke and put his new collar and dog tag on him. Janelle was curious on what the collar looked like and what it said. As Duke and I walked back she knelt down to read his tag. As she was occupied by Duke I also knelt down with the ring in hand. Duke then sat and started to stare at her waiting for her response. She started to read the tag which said, "Will you marry me?". At first she didn't realize what was happening, she was laughing and probably thought it was a joke, that it was some prank I was playing with a fake ring. You can tell she had a stunned and shocked face. But then it hit her that this was real, it was really happening. I asked if she will marry me and she was speechless. She kept laughing, but she eventually started to nod her head. She was chuckling as the words YES came out. She then grabbed my head and gave me the biggest MARRY ME kiss ever. -Jeremy https://youtu.be/ROLaDJp3AMA
