She's impressed. She leaves with her friends to get a drink to seem uninterested but we all know whats good. He shoots his shot and sends her a long island iced tea from across the bar. It's her favorite drink, how did he know. She's even more impressed. She knew right then and there that this was the man she wanted to marry. They engaged in conversation for hours. For every pin stripe on that vest came another thing they had in common. It was fate. Story takes a twist. She cold shoulders him for 6 long months. She was too afraid she would fall in love too fast. They meet again at the infamous Mezzo. She sees him hitting the cat daddy again to perfection. All the feelings come rushing back. And the rest is history. Stef’s version: We had a mutual friend who shared the same birthday as me. I brought my friends, he brought his. I was warned of the one they referred to as "The Italian Stallion" and rolled my eyes at the thought of this guy. I immediately knew which one he was when I saw a man wearing a pin-striped vest. He bought me some drinks and I remember thinking he was a great dancer (at that time I was convinced it was just the alcohol but now i know it to be true). I told myself that I didn’t want a boyfriend “because I was in grad school” so i ignored him for a few months. We met up 4 months later and he bought me nachos at 4am (if you know you know)…..we talked every day since.
