Often mistaken for twins, Alison and Brooke are two peas in a pod. They met in their teaching program at Pepperdine, and have been inseparable ever since! Their favorite pastimes are going on walks to coffee, cancelling workout sessions, and staying in on Friday nights in matching pajamas. Michael loves third wheeling this dynamic duo, and he knows that in marrying Brooke, he's stuck with Alison for life too!
Jacob Mahony
Best Man
Jacob is Michael’s younger brother and Best Man. While they were growing up in NorCal, it was once in a blue moon they had a day without some sort of fight or argument. In all fairness, Michael was the instigator in 99% of these conflicts (not surprising). Meg Mahony once lost all hope that her boys would ever get along, but their family move to Huntington Beach left the Mahony brothers together against the world (in their eyes). Since the move in summer 2011, Michael and Jacob have been on the same team ever since. Michael’s day would not be complete without his brother by his side.
Avana Zenner
Bridesmaid
Brooke hopes that everyone is lucky enough to have a sister like Avana. When Avana was a little girl she used to cry and scream when Brooke tried to brush out the "snarls" in her beautiful curly hair. Let's hope she doesn't have that reaction when they are getting ready on the big day! Jokes aside, Avana is the best sister anyone could ask for and it is an absolute honor for Brooke to share this day with her.
Tyler Murrah

Tyler Murrah, otherwise known as “The Intern” is the youngest of the bunch. He earned this name because he became roommates with Michael, Reese and Trevor during their graduate school years, so that first year was a trial run to see how a young guy would do with the elders. However, their friendship began years before that, when Michael hosted Tyler and his family on his recruiting trip. Fast forward to Michael’s 6th year, and they were sharing a room! Tyler is a lifelong friend and the day wouldn’t be complete without him up there.
Bri Visalli

Bri has been an older sister to Brooke since she was in the 7th grade. Brooke always looked up to Bri, as she was 2 grades ahead of her, and hoped to one day be as great of a soccer player as her. What young and naive Brooke failed to realize, though, was that it wasn't Bri's soccer skills that make her great; it was and is her incredible heart, work ethic and determination. Brooke followed Bri to Pepperdine where they got to be teammates for 2 more years, and Brooke truly would not have survived without her.
Justin Lutes

Lutes came to Pepperdine during Michael’s senior year and while they were never officially roommates, Covid brought Lutes into the quarantine crew and they quickly became best friends. While these two don't get to see each other as often post-graduation, it is rare that a day goes by without them hearing each other's voices over the Playstation mic. Lutes is one of the hardest working people that Michael knows, and he has taken this hard work to the EMT scene. As a Las Vegas Local, you now have a guy to call if you ever find yourself in an emergency on the Las Vegas Strip!
Delaney Milton

Delaney is another friend Brooke was lucky enough to meet through Michael. Delaney is kind, generous, thoughtful, and considerate. It is rare to click so quickly with someone, and that is exactly what happened between these two gals! Funny enough, after they became close, they learned that they grew up playing against each other in soccer. Delaney was on Brooke's rival team and Brooke dreaded playing her team every time! So happy they are finally on the same "team."
Ben Slattery

If you hear anyone call this guy Larry, don’t worry about it. It doesn’t matter what you call him, because either way, he is still one of the best guys you’ll ever meet. Michael and Ben were the same year at Pepperdine, however their friendship really blossomed when they spent the summer together in Dodge City (along with Pendy). While it was never a doubt that Ben would be apart of this day, the fact that he is the commissioner of Michael’s fantasy football league was the icing on the cake.
Hailey Carr

Hailey and Brooke were college roommates for not 1, not 2, but 4 years! They had a rocky start, with Hailey ignoring Brooke's messages about their future living arrangements, but time showed that these two would absolutely NOT have survived college (and soccer) without each other. God knew what he was doing when he paired these two gals up way back in 2016, and time has proven that this is a friendship that will last a lifetime.
Jonathan Pendergast

Pendy has been Michael’s day 1 since the first day they stepped on campus. It would be a rare occasion to find Mahony without Pendy, and they even spent a long summer together in Dodge City, Kansas. It is difficult to put this friendship into words, because they are truly just best friends. We’ll leave you with a fun fact about Pendy… his superstition at Pepperdine was he needed to get a Fortnite win the night before a start, and you best believe Michael would stay online as late as necessary to make it happen!
Makenna Mahony

Brooke and Makenna are quite opposite, but it is apparent that these two are in for a lifetime of fun and hilarious memories. The love that Michael has for his sister is inspiring and Brooke is so grateful she will be standing up there with them when another Mahony gal is added to the family.
Reese Alexiades

While Reese and Michael did not enter Pepperdine together, it is safe to say that Michael’s experience would not have been the same without Reese. Simply put, Reese is just the best. These boys lived together for 3 years, and in that time Reese was a constant rock and motivator for Michael. Nicknamed the “Greek God of Pepperdine,” Reese may steal the show as he walks down the aisle.
Madison Conway

Who would've thought a dancer/cheerleader and a soccer player could be best friends?? This surprising duo flourished in high school. From getting dressed up to go out to dinner in Santana Row, to blasting music in the car and singing at the top of our lungs... (Madison has always had the best taste in music)... these gals have memories to last a lifetime. Brooke's day would not be complete without Mads by her side!
Trevor Franklin

Anyone who has played baseball knows the bond that is shared amongst pitchers. Michael and Trevor share this sacred bond as they spent hours upon hours at the field and in the bullpen during their time at Pep. But this bond went far beyond the field. Trevor and Michael were best friends 5 out of the 6 years Michael was there (the only reason it wasn’t 6/6 years was because Trevor was still in high school Michael’s freshman year!). This friendship will prove to be one that lasts a lifetime. Luckily, Brooke is a Padres fan, otherwise, Trevor may not have let them get married!
Tara Gehle

Tara and Brooke first met in college back in 2016. They quickly became friends and bonded over music, roadtrips, and of course, dying at soccer practice. After college their friendship grew and grew, and Brooke's day truly wouldn't be complete without Tara. She is such an incredibly supportive friend with an absolute contagious energy and joy. Most importantly, this mama to be will surely match the bride's energy on the dance floor!
Austin Gehle

Michael had the honor of standing by Austin’s side on his wedding day, and now Austin gets to do the same for Michael! While they are both Pepperdine baseball alum, they had an interesting meeting. While Michael and Pendy were playing summer ball in Kansas, they met some random guy in the middle of the night while waiting for a tournament game. This random guy happened to be Austin, and they quickly learned that Austin would be their newest teammate as he was transferring to Pep in the fall! Since then, Austin and Michael have formed an invaluable friendship with many memories left in store, including an endless amount of Fortnite wins.
Rachel Pendergast

One of the best things to come out of Brooke and Michael being together is Brooke meeting Rachel. While they were introduced to each other because of their (at the time) boyfriends, they quickly became friends separate from their plus 1's. Rachel is as selfless of a friend as there is, and Brooke and Rachel are in for a lifetime of memories together. Brooke is so happy to have Rachel by her side on this special day!
Kiko Garcia

Did you know we have a celebrity in our wedding party? It is an honor to have the one and only 2009 Little League World Series Champion, Kiko Garcia, be apart of this special day. On a more serious note, Kiko stood by Michael’s side through all of the challenges that college athletes face. Kiko served as a role model to Michael and inspired him daily with his dedication to baseball and academics. On an even more serious note, feel free to ask him for his autograph and statistics from his LLWS Championship campaign at the wedding!
Nicole Carson

Nicole and Brooke met each other in 3rd grade on their first real club soccer team: The Heat. They became joint at the hip starting when Brooke moved to Valley Christian School in 7th grade. Their friendship began on the field, but has since proven to be a sisterhood that will last a lifetime. 15 years and forever to go!
Rachael Haaland

When Rachael first shadowed at Valley Christian High School, she thought Nicole and Brooke were mean. Little did she know that they would become best friends! Rach and Brooke share a love of Harry Potter, and even though Rachael broke Brooke's wrist in a high school soccer game (they were on the same team), they are still best friends to this day.
