The Wedding Website of Melissa Rae Maghirang and Gerrard Jeffrey Baculo
Boracay is a small island south of Manila. Getting there requires different modes of transportation such as by air, by land and by sea. I have hired a wedding planner Amanda Tirol, she will be able to help with flights, lodging/accommodations, ferry boat ride to Boracay and information about the Island of Boracay and the wedding details. If you need assistance in booking your resorts or accommodation in the island, please contact Amanda Tirol and her team. You may contact her via email or phone at: Email: broacayweddings@yahoo.com Viber/WhatsApp/iMessage/SMS/Calls: +63 917 539 6220 SMS/Calls Only: +63 998 988 5962

Flight

Flying to Manila

You will have to fly into Manila to reach the Philippines. The airport is NAIA Ninoy Aquino International Airport. Please remember the Philippines is 13 hours ahead of the United States, so plan accordingly when arriving to Manila and booking flights. Also it is advised to arrive to the airport early, when flying in and out of NAIA the lines are always long to check in to your flight, as well as horrendous traffic in Manila. We do not want you to miss your flight!

Flight

Flying to Boracay

FLYING TO BORACAY a. Manila to Caticlan (via Philippine Airlines / Cebu Pacific / Air Asia / Royal Air) – 45-minutes from Manila on an air bus plane. Flying straight to Caticlan airport saves time, as it is directly on the Jetty Port. However, the airfare is usually higher than via Kalibo. Also, during bad weather conditions flights are rerouted to Kalibo for safety reasons.
 b. Manila – Kalibo – Caticlan (via Air Asia / Cebu Pacific / Philippine Airlines) –
a 45 minute flight from Manila and a 2-hour land transfer from Kalibo to Caticlan. Private vans for hire and air conditioned buses are available (no pre-booking required, can be arranged on arrival in Kalibo).

Travel Note

ARRIVAL TO CATICLAN

ARRIVAL TO CATICLAN Caticlan is a jump-off point to Boracay from the Jetty Port. It is best to change into slippers/ sandals at the jetty port for your comfort and in anticipation of the beach.

If you do not stay at the Shangri-La I recommend staying at the Henann Resort hotels. The Henann Prime Beach resort is located in Station 1 and would be the closest to the Shangri-La. I was not able to secure a room block, because I needed to commit to a 10 room minimum. If you are interested in staying at the Henann Resorts, let me know and if I am able to get 10 rooms or more total, we will receive a group rate.
