Life has a funny way of connecting and bringing two people together. Cruises have always been ideal for travel, celebrate and vacationing however, meeting your future spouse on a cruise isn’t always what one expects to find. The story for these two first began at the Port of Miami. Michelle was getting ready to embark on her first cruise with friends and family to celebrate her 21st birthday while Steven was celebrating an only guys trip. Mutuality of friends has a great way of connecting people. Steven was informed by a mutual friend on social media that her sister was on that cruise celebrating her friend’s birthday. Coincidentally, the mutual friend was the sister of Michelle’s best friend. It wasn’t until the 3rd night of the cruise when Michelle and Steven first interacted leading to dancing and good vibes amongst themselves and their friends. With the cruise coming to an end, they were unfortunate to exchange contact information. After the cruise, Steven took initiative and was able to reconnect with Michelle via social media.
It was a trip to Universal Orlando. They created new memories with enjoying each other's time at Volcano Bay and the Universal parks. Ever since then, Orlando has had such a special place in both of their hearts.
Given the fact that the two met on a cruise on October 6th, Steven decided it was the right opportunity to tie in the elements of their early love story. It was a surprise birthday dinner cruise for Michelle that was used to mask the proposal. The two were joined by close friends and family as they cruised the intercostal of Fort Lauderdale FL. Steven took advantage of the beautiful sunset behind them and decided to pop the question and she SAID YES!!
