UPDATE:

Due to COVID 19 and other circumstances...

Unfortunately, we have had to make the hard decision of canceling our Panama City wedding plans in order to protect our friends and family. While we may not be having the wedding we planned, we are excited to be getting married and to have our immediate families present! We are saddened that we will not be able to share this special day with everyone but are thankful for the love and support we have received. We hope to one day be able to come together and celebrate with loved ones. We will keep everyone updated if an opportunity arises. May 9th will not look like what we expected but we are still so excited to start our lives together!

How We Met

Summer of 2017

Anthony started attending a summer small group at Collide College Ministry, where I had already been attending for some time. While we had seen each other, neither one of knew anything about one another. Anthony had become close to Cody Shields, a childhood friend, and his wife, Ashlee Shields happened to be one of my best friends. After some time, we both ended up going over to their house to hang out with our separate friends but quickly we all became a close group. As for me and Anthony, the more we talked we realized that we wanted to take a risk and see where life would take us together. Neither one of us saw it coming, but Cody will tell you that he called it from the very beginning!

The Proposal

July 20th, 2019

Due to the fact that I was completely convinced that I knew when Anthony was going to propose, I ended up being so surprised when he dropped to one knee and asked me to marry him. Knowing that he wanted his family to be there when he proposed and the fact that he told me his parents were coming down to Florida from Texas the following weekend, I "knew" it had to be sometime then. Little did I know that his parents moved up their trip and he had been making plans for over a month to surprise me. Anthony managed to arrange for me to have my nails done, get my hair and make-up done, and get me all dressed up for the supposed "date" he was taking me on later that evening. Most of our dates start off with coffee so when he told me that we were stopping by Wild Root, a local coffee shop, I thought nothing of it. As we walked hand in hand to the shop, Anthony knew what was waiting for us just ahead. Stepping into the coffee shop, I immediately saw both of our families and friends and realized what was about to happen. I turned to Anthony and there he said the sweetest things before dropping down to his knee. And as I'm sure you already know... I said YES! We are both so excited to start the rest of our lives together!
