Madison and Hunter’s story began at the University of West Georgia in August 2020. When classes started, Madison realized the cute sophomore she’d been texting was in her Spanish class—the very one she had struggled with before. As luck would have it, Hunter excelled in Spanish. What started as homework help soon turned into FaceTime calls, study sessions, and spending more time together. Before long, Hunter confessed his feelings, but Madison insisted they remain “just friends.” Ever patient, Hunter reassured her, “Take all the time you need, but I do intend to date you.” By early September, Madison admitted she felt the same, and their undeniable connection became something more.
