His side of the story: We spent the weekend in Crosby, MN, a small town just North of Minneapolis. For all you history buffs out there...Crosby was once the bustling hub of the iron ore mining industry, that has since turned into a quaint little town surrounded by mountain biking trails and lakes formed from the mining days. My initial plan was to take Makayla on a mountain biking trek around the old mining lakes, however I quickly realized that neither of us have any experience mountain biking (and as some of you may know, Makayla is quite clumsy). So instead we decided to leave the bikes and just hike on the trails. Buckle up, this is the exciting part of the story. So there I was...8 miles later...chilly, hungry, tired, a little nervous and overlooking Huntington Mine. I got down on one knee and asked Makayla to be the next Lucky Mrs. Bucky. After rapid-firing about 40 questions at me, she looked at me with tears in her eyes and said, "Where are you hiding the champagne?" (She hadn't said yes yet.) Eventually she exclaimed, "Did I even say yes?! Yes! Yes!" And the rest is history. Her side of the story: About time, Buckman!!
