I never thought that I (Emmanuel) would meet my future wife on social media. However, God has a way of using our circumstances, whether good or bad, to reveal He has no limit. We had such a great time on our first date that we decided to continue seeing each other. Looking back now, we are amazed at how God brought us together at the perfect time and how he has been guiding us through this love story that we couldn’t have orchestrated ourselves. We are so excited to see what He will do next! I (Arielle) woke up the morning of our first date thinking "OMG What am I going to wear!!" Needless to say, I spent my morning searching through Macy's clothing racks, googling different hair styles and practicing answers to silly questions like " so what do you like to do for fun?". Never in my wildest dreams could I have imagined meeting the love of my life on that day but something about Emmanuel was always "different". I was inspired by his clear love and devotion to God, and I embraced his love of music and comedic tv shows. As we walked through the hallways of the Cloisters Museum, I remember being in awe of seeing all my little silent prayers come alive in the flesh. We both knew that day that this was God's plan for us all along and we are so excited to see what he has in store for us.

My fiancé is an impossible person to surprise. She’s like a detective. I knew that it would take a miracle to surprise her and so I prayed for God to make her “égaré/slow” on that day. On our anniversary, I took her to where it all began, the MET Cloisters Museum. Prior to us meeting, she mentioned to me that she wanted flowers, so I got a custom made rose and hid the ring inside. When it came time to propose I told her that I wanted to do something symbolic with the rose since it was our anniversary and not to worry about embarrassing ourselves. After saying all the “cheesy stuff” I got on one knee with the rose. This is proof that God answers prayers, she was still clueless. She did not realized what was happening until I opened the flower and revealed the ring. Her reaction was priceless!!! She ran-off but thank God she returned to say YES!!!
