Once Upon a Time...

Who knew a Whataburger in Corpus Christi would change our lives forever? One minute, Brianna is headed in line for a #1 with a Sweet Tea, while Darwin is next in line before the counter. She asks "Have you ever been here before?" when she hears him whisper to himself "I'm not sure what to get..". Darwin turns around, smiles, and goes "NOPE! New to Texas baby!" Yes, Brianna cringes, but she smiles and says "Get the #1, it's a good start." They both place their orders, and Brianna begins heading upstairs. Darwin then stares at the stairs, and very seriously asks her "What's up there? A secret place?". Brianna then smiles and says, "Follow me". Of course, as she's walking up the stairs, he goes, "Are you sure?!?" She then responds, "Hurry up!". Why they were both comfortable and natural around a stranger? We will never know, but God had a plan. Brianna guided Darwin to the outside patio and said "Here we are!". Darwin stood in awe at the beautiful skyline the coast offered. They then sat at a table, looked at all the views, talked like they had known each other for years, got their food, and ate it in less than 5 minutes because we all knew the seagulls were coming. From then on, Brianna and Darwin never spent a day apart (deployment doesn't count), and their fairy tale began.
