Liv and Mike have been friends since high school, when Liv would buy Four Lokos out of the back of Mike's truck bed in the Papermart parking lot. Neither of them knew then the adventure they'd embark on together almost six years later, after Mike came to watch a UFC fight at Buffalo Wild Wings while Liv was working. Liv almost bit the dust in front of the entire restaurant while carrying a stool she had hidden for Mike to sit on after he arrived to his friends' table late, Mike left her a generous tip, and the rest is history. In 2019, they welcomed the beautiful and perfect Lana Shea into their lives, moved in together, and started their lives as a family.

Mike surprised Liv with a trip to Washington, DC under the premise of a long-awaited reservation to Hell's Kitchen, a Gordon Ramsey restaurant they had been dying to go to for years. Once they got there, Mike revealed he'd booked a phenomenal hotel room overlooking the Wharf of the Potomac River and an unexpected gift of diamond earrings. On the walk to the restaurant, overlooking the gorgeous water under the sunset, Mike proposed. Liv, of course, said yes and was absolutely awestruck by the perfect ring Mike had chosen for her. The only thing Liv thought was missing was documentation - which Mike quickly proved he'd already thought of, revealing he'd asked a photographer to hide near the scene and take secret pictures of the engagement. It was a perfect moment, followed up by an amazing meal at Hell's Kitchen, where the couple had their dreams of eating lobster risotto, beef wellington, and sticky toffee pudding fulfilled.
