Most of you have probably heard the story... back in 2014, at a magical farm in Manchester, Tennessee, Brittney and Josh met for the first time at Bonnaroo music festival. Brittney's unique dance moves definitely caught Josh's eyes, it was love at first sight and from here on out he would do whatever he could to be in a relationship with her. Though they didn't immediately start dating, they both realized that there was something special about this friendship. In 2016, after another music festival, this time, in upstate New York, Josh invited Brittney to Long Beach Island, New Jersey to wind down after the eventful weekend. Brittney said "yes" to the beach weekend, not realizing at the time, that Josh was courting her and hoping for something more than a friendship! A few weeks later, Brittney invited Josh to her family vacation in northern Michigan, with 15+ of her toughest critics and put Josh to the test! Needless to say, he passed! In the months to come, Brittney and Josh spent countless hours talking on the phone, face-timing and traveling back and forth from Michigan to New Jersey. In November 2016 they would embark on one of their greatest adventures, a move across the country to Colorado!
At the beginning of 2021, Brittney and Josh left Colorado and bought their first home in Michigan, very close to Brittney's hometown. They knew getting married was the next step in their relationship and Josh continued to drop hints that he was planning to propose before the year was over. Brittney being the organized planner that she is, thought up every way that Josh could possibly propose. Let's just say she's a tough one to surprise. With that being said, Josh knew he would have to be extra sly if he planned to catch Brittney off guard. After doing some investigating (aka convincing Brittney's sister to share Brittney's "planned proposal"), Josh knew what he had to do. It was an unsuspecting Tuesday in August when Josh kneeled down on one knee and popped the question in their home. Catching Brittney completely off guard, he knew exactly how to surprise her!
Surrounded by their parents, Brittney and Josh tied the knot on October 10, 2021 in their hometown of St. Clair Shores, MI. Life hands each of us uncertainty all the time and one thing was certain for Brittney and Josh, they wanted all of their parents to be there for their nuptials! Brittney and Josh are truly grateful that they were able to have a small wedding ceremony with their parents. AND they are truly grateful that they will be able to celebrate with their closest family and friends at their vow renewal ceremony and reception in May 2022.
