We encourage you to dress in semi-formal attire for the ceremony! If you plan on changing for the reception (you're more than welcome to!), anything from cocktail attire to formal evening wear is appropriate. Though we're sure we don't have to mention it explicitly, we would ask that, whatever outfit you choose to wear to the church, that you exclude the jeans, leggings, t-shirts, Seahawks/Kraken jerseys, & flip-flops.
Transportation will not be provided. However, Uber and Lyft are both great options for getting around. If you are driving yourself, there are plenty of parking options available at both venues.
Yes, both of our venues have easily accessible, free parking lots. St Joe's also has free street parking.
Red is an auspicious, lucky color in Vietnamese culture. Lì xì, or red envelopes with cash or checks, are traditionally given to the couple during the reception as gifts (there are no registries in Vietnamese culture!) The giving of red envelopes is a way to symbolically bestow happiness, luck and good wishes to the couple. If you'd like to participate in the Vietnamese tradition of gifting red envelopes, we will be providing those at the reception for your use. You can put it into the same envelope as your card!
An Asian FEAST! Get ready for a traditional multi-course Vietnamese wedding banquet, served family style. There will also be a cash bar with alcoholic beverages and mocktails (in addition to a couple of drinks on us!)
We will be following all reopening guidelines from the state and from each of our venues. For full transparency, the current covid capacity at the reception venue, with proper distancing, is around 300 people; we intend on taking full advantage of this, so you should expect that there will be quite a few people in attendance. We will do everything we can to provide a safe environment to celebrate with us! With that in mind, we're so grateful that vaccines are widely available! Both of us are fully vaccinated, and can't wait to see you all in person.
We plan to proceed with the ceremony and reception with as many people as are allowed. If we cannot have everybody join us in person, we have a contingency plan to live-stream the ceremony and for you to connect with us virtually on the day. On that note, we recommend booking flexible travel and accommodations.
