It all began in 2015, at a college party. Anthony was in the middle of a redemption game of beer pong, losing pretty badly, and Stephanie was playfully giving him a hard time about missing his shots. This banter back and forth between the two went on all night. He looked over at his friend and jokingly said, "I have no idea who she is, but I might marry her." A few days later, Anthony slid into Stephanie’s Twitter DMs with a clever excuse: “planning a mixer” between their fraternity and sorority. One message turned into many, and before long, he invited her to his fraternity formal. She brought him to her sorority date night. Party after party, they kept finding each other, never wanting the night to end. Soon, it wasn’t just parties. They met up to study at the library, laughing and sharing videos instead of getting much work done. And in typical healthy college fashion, they grabbed late-night pancakes at the Galloway Denny’s, binged Netflix, and shared plenty of Domino’s pizza. In 2016, college came to an end. Stephanie started grad school in Philadelphia while Anthony moved back to Belmar. Weekends were spent back and forth from Philly to Belmar, while weeknights were spent up late on Facetime. Some weeks, they couldn’t see each other at all, but they always made it work. After Stephanie graduated, she moved back home to Wayne in 2019, and the long-distance chapter continued, back and forth between North Jersey and the beach, for nearly four more years. Through every mile and every late-night drive, their love only grew stronger. Finally, in 2023, they made their dream a reality: building a life together near the beach, surrounded by friends and family. Their home quickly filled with new adventures and unexpected joys. Anthony turned Stephanie into a true cat lover, together rescuing a 17-pound backyard Nugget and welcoming a sleek black kitty, Willow, from a local shelter. He taught her how to surf, coaxed her into trying new things, and constantly brings her out of her shell, making every day feel like the best kind of adventure. When Anthony knew the time was right, he began planning the perfect proposal. With the help of their best friend, Morgan, a photographer, he convinced Stephanie they were taking “couples photos” at a local garden. What she didn’t know was that Anthony had spent months alongside Stephanie's mother Celia, designing a ring using diamonds from both of her grandmothers, creating a beautiful family heirloom. In that garden, surrounded by love and memories, Anthony asked Stephanie to marry him, and she said yes. Well, at first she screamed "NO WAY NO WAY" and scared a couple walking by, but after realizing what was happening, she said yes. Now, after nearly ten years of laughter, late-night pancakes, rescued cats, and countless miles traveled for love, we can’t wait to celebrate our next chapter together with all of you. We are so grateful to every friend and family member who has been part of this journey, supporting us through every phase of life, from college frat parties to long-distance weekends to this beautiful engagement. Your love and encouragement mean the world to us, and we can’t wait to share our wedding day with you.
