Over the years we went from taking my mom car and patching up cash for gas and food in our early 20s to go do what we called "broke nigga shit" to talking about marriage and buying houses. Through the years he always had my back and looked out for my best interests unconditionally. Best friend shit.

Reminiscing on the days when we lived in the yellow house, and the butt whippings grandma would give us with the switch for being badasses. We were pretty much raised together, if we didn't live under the same roof, we were only a block away. Man, he used to drive me crazy and we'd fight all the time but still til this day he always had my back and looked out for me like a big brother. It's like second nature when it comes to looking out for one another. I gave no thought into making my cousin/brother my best man.

Skinny Minnie! My cousin/sister/best friend since 94! Our parents would buy us matching outfits and we would be so mad about it but looking back at our pictures puts the biggest smile on my face. She’s always been down to be my partner on roller coasters, my road trip buddy, lunch date, shopping partner, movie date, pretty much my ride or die! So having her as one of my maids of honor was never a thought either.

Only time people remembered we were related was when there was any kind of pressure, we always had each other's backs that way, can't disrespect family. Always down to listen, give advice, get some crab legs, and have a good time. Down for all the family memories were already creating and going to create one lil Maggie (I've grown to accept it) gets here! And she's the mother of two of our favorite girls in the world.
