Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

If you are able to RSVP when you receive your invitation- that is very helpful! The last day to RSVP is August 6th, 2026. If we do not get an RSVP back by the August 6th, you will be marked as "No". We will miss you celebrating with us, however, we have to provide a total guest count to our vendors. Due to this, we cannot accept late RSVPs, we hope you understand!

Question

What should I wear/ is there a dress code?

Answer

We would love for our family and friends to dress up with us! We are requesting you wear semi-formal or formal attire.

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be at the same venue?

Answer

Yes! The ceremony and reception will both take place at Oak Hill Farm- 8044 N Gabel Ln. Apple River, IL 61001 The Ceremony will be outside (weather permitting) in the Woodland Forest location. The reception will follow in the pavilion, an outdoor tent with a great cross breeze! (Doors and windows can be closed if the weather is bad)

Question

What time should I arrive at the venue?

Answer

Help us get the party started on schedule! We recommend arriving 30 minutes before the start of the ceremony (4:00 pm) to ensure everyone is seated on time.

Question

Can I leave my vehicle overnight?

Answer

Yes! There is plenty of parking at Oak Hill Farm, overnight parking is allowed and encouraged if you're planning on enjoying the bar! All vehicles must be picked up by 11:00 am the day after the wedding.

Question

Can I bring a date/plus one?

Answer

Due to the limited space, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. If you received a plus one they will appear under your name when you RSVP. Thank you for understanding!

Question

Can I bring my children?

Answer

Invitations will be specific and will include the names of the children who are invited! We hope you understand & can enjoy a fun date night!

Question

Is it okay to take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We invite you to truly be present at our ceremony, and respectfully request that all cameras and phones be turned off and put away during the ceremony. We hired amazing photographers, and a videographer to capture all the special moments. You are more than welcome to bring out your cameras and phones during the reception!

Question

What if I need assistance getting around the venue?

Answer

Please keep in mind the Woodland Forest, where the ceremony will take place, is not easily accessible to those who have trouble walking. There are golf carts on the property that the Oak Hill staff can utilize for anyone getting around. Please let one of us know if you will need the help!

Question

What do I do after the ceremony?

Answer

Following our ceremony will be cocktail hour. Oak Hill Farm is meant to be explored. That's why we chose this venue... it offers so much! We encourage you to use the map and explore! At the school house you will find memories, and at the country store you will find treats and snacks to enjoy during cocktail hour.
