In 2009, we knew each other at Tennessee State University, but just as friends. Fast forward to 2017 when KVO sent me a message on Facebook. I thought it was weird at first, but he was genuine and wanted to see how I was doing. I was in North Carolina visiting my father at the time. When I got back to Nashville KVO asked me on a date, and we've been inseparable ever since.

On November 26, 2020, which is Thanksgiving Day, KVO proposed to Courtney in front of all of their family and friends. She was told to bless the food, and when she opened her eyes he was there on bended knee. Of course she said yes! After that he showed her the proposal video he made for her, and the family celebrated with an engagement party right after. It was a joyous day filled with loved ones, memories, and pictures.
