Will and Kiana met during nursing school. They met through a mutual friend who introduced them in their class they had together. Will and Kiana became such great friends and their relationship was completely platonic. They always confided in one another & were always there to lend a helping hand when needed. One night, without knowing that Kiana had already started developing feelings for him, Will's cousin Kayanne told Will she loved Kiana for him. From there, one day a night out with all their friends at Round One during Karaoke, Will decided to shoot his shot, and the rest is history.

Kiana had always LOVED this photographer she found on instagram, her name is Taylor. She had always shown her work to Will and always wanted to do a photoshoot session with her of them both. In late 2023 Kiana entered a contest free photo shoot and told Taylor she was interested in a photoshoot session with her in hopes her and Will would be chosen. Fast forward to February 2024, Taylor contacted Kiana stating that she was chosen, when little did she know Will had already booked and hired her so he can propose to Kiana. Taylor staged to whole idea that Will came up with to state that she was chosen for a free shoot, that she had a whole pinterest board lined up with outfit ideas and so on & that she wanted it at the beach. The day of the engagement, Will and Kiana made their way in the pouring rain to the site and once they arrived the sun came out and the rain had stopped. While trying to distract Kiana during the shoot, Will's best friends Richard and Adam both ran onto the beach to set up a picnic setting where Will wanted to propose. Taylor and Will already created a whole "code word" to let Will know when to do it, and from there Kiana was completely caught off guard, and by far is the best surprise Will has ever kept from her.
