We first crossed paths on the dating app Hinge in 2022. At the time, the Chiefs and Eagles were headed to the Super Bowl. We bonded over our teams playing against each other—and also over the fact that Joshua worked at Toyota, which is where I take my car for service. While it seemed like the stars were aligned, we never quite got the chance to take our connection offline. Fast forward about eight months, and we ran into each other at Toyota. We noticed one another, but were both too nervous to pick up where we left off. Then came December 9th, 2023. I was dropping off my car for service when Joshua asked me to move my car up a little. He walked away to continue working, and I wasn’t sure if we’d get another chance to talk. But to my delight, he came back, and we finally exchanged numbers. The very next day, we went on our first date—and we’ve been writing our love story ever since.
