With Sam starting his Emergency Medicine residency and Regan finishing her final year of medical school, finding a time and place to get married felt nearly impossible. After moving to Augusta, GA this past summer, the two were both working at the Medical College of Georgia. Life was busy, schedules were unpredictable, and they weren’t sure when the “perfect moment” would come. Then one weekend, the stars seemed to align. Regan was in Charleston, Sam’s shifts were canceled (this never happens!), Sam’s family happened to have already planned a trip there, and Regan’s family was free to join. On July 11, 2025, surrounded by both of their families, they walked hand in hand down to the beach and exchanged vows. To make it even more special, Regan’s dad, who just so happened to have his officiant license, married them right by the ocean. Although far from traditional, it turned out to be better than they ever could have planned.
