FAQs

Question

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

Answer

Our ceremony will start promptly at 2:30 p.m. We kindly request you plan on arriving at least 15 minutes early. Please plan accordingly as there may be some traffic on a Friday at this time and to make sure you acquire parking (or plan to arrive at the hotel on time to use the shuttle per below).

Question

Where is the ceremony located?

Answer

Directions to the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist can be found on their website here: https://www.rcdopcathedral.org/directions

Question

Is there parking at the ceremony?

Answer

There is metered street parking around the Cathedral and the City Center Parking Garage located at 101 Ward Street, Paterson, New Jersey 07505. This parking garage is located under the Center City Mall and is only a 5-minute walk to the Cathedral. If you exit on Ward Street walk West toward Main Street, turn left on Main Street and the Cathedral is two blocks down the road. Due to limited parking, we suggest carpooling, allotting extra time to find a space, being dropped off or taking the shuttle from the hotel (see below).

Question

Will there be a shuttle to the ceremony from the hotel?

Answer

Yes! Due to parking concerns, we will have a 1:45 pm shuttle from the Hilton Garden Inn to the Cathedral. You can park at the hotel prior to check-in and take the shuttle directly to the Cathedral. Following the ceremony the shuttle will return to the hotel until it leaves for the reception.

Question

Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the ceremony?

Answer

Please please please do not take any pictures during the ceremony. We promise to share the pictures with all of you when they become available. It is against the Cathedral's policy, the photographer's policy and, most importantly, OUR policy. We appreciate you being respectful of our wishes for an unplugged ceremony! Feel free to take pictures during the reception!

Question

What can I do during the time gap between the ceremony and reception?

Answer

If you are staying at the hotel, the hotel has a bar which will be open during the day. We recommend stopping for a pre cocktail hour happy hour. Even if you’re not staying at the hotel it is a great option and you can hop on the bus from there!

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by August 1, 2026.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Our attire is Black-Tie, please dress to impress!

Question

Is there parking at the reception?

Answer

Yes! There will be complimentary valet parking at the reception.

Question

Do you have a hotel block for guests?

Answer

Yes! Please see the travel page on our website for details of our hotel blocks.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the reception?

Answer

Yes, for those of you staying in a hotel we will be providing shuttles to and from the reception. More details will be provided in your hotel bags upon check in.

Question

What time will your wedding reception end? Is there an after-party?

Answer

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

All food orders will be taken at the table during the reception. If you have any dietary restrictions, please let the wait staff know.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. If you are invited with a guest, it will be indicated on your invitation. Thank you for understanding and please feel free to reach out with any questions!

Question

Are children allowed?

Answer

We love your children, but the reception is an adults only event.
