Connie and Jeremy had seen each other around church and had been involved with similar circle of friends for a few years, but never actually knew each other. In 2015 Connie started working at LaBahn's Landscaping, and Jeremy was also working there at the time. One day, Jeremy called the office when Connie was filling in as the receptionist to ask if anyone wanted Starbucks. He used this opportunity to subtly ask for her number so that she could text him the orders. From there they started talking more and a few weeks later Jeremy asked her on their first date, fishing on the one and only, Julie Ann (The family boat). And the rest is history...

Connie had always wanted a surprise engagement. She wasn't interested in a long, drawn out day of being pampered in preparation for the big question. She simply just wanted it to be a surprise. If you know Connie, then you're aware that she can figure just about anything out, so Jeremy had some work to do. Jeremy recently purchased an event rentals business and he works with many beautiful venues throughout San Diego. He called one of the venue managers at a venue in Liberty Station (Connie's favorite place) and asked her to email the business email, which Connies manages, to set up a meeting on August, 29th at 5pm. Connie took the bait! Earlier in the day before the "meeting", Jeremy went to the venue and set out flowers, candles, and framed photos of them throughout the years. The venue was a large a modern warehouse, with an open lobby area as the main entrance. As they walked up, Connie looked in the windows and said "That's weird, there is an event going on in here" and then looked further and saw that she was the one in the photos. She then realized that she had been completely surprised and that the day she had anxiously awaited had finally come. The couple walked down the isle of flowers and photos and when they got to the end Jeremy pulled the shiny ring out of his pocket, got down on one knee and asked Connie if she would spend the rest of her life with him. In case you were wondering, she said YES!
