After working a half day at work, I was coming home with lunch on the brain only to walk into a surprise. One of our two rescue frenchies greeted me at the door wearing a bow. I was so confused, only to be more confused when our second frenchie rounded the corner wearing one as well. I thought to myself "What's going on?" and walked further into the house, entering our living room to find Brian sitting on the couch surrounded by signs that said "Will you marry our dad" with flower petals surrounding our coffee table with candles and a ring displayed in the middle. I was shocked! Brian stood up and came over to me. He then took the ring out of the box and continued to propose. I said "Yes!". Surrounded by our dogs and in the privacy of our home we have built together, it couldn't have been better.
When planning our wedding, we knew we didn't want to wait too long for our nuptials. After tossing around multiple ideas and even reaching out to a local wedding planning company, we asked ourselves "What are we waiting for?" and decided we would elope. With the support of our family, we had an intimate courthouse ceremony surrounded by the love of our parents who were in attendance.
