FAQs

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Our wedding is black tie optional. Feel free to dress to the nines or choose something elegant yet comfortable. For gentlemen: A tuxedo (preferred) or a dark suit with a tie. For ladies: A floor-length evening gown, elegant midi or knee-length cocktail dress, or chic formal pantsuit. Since it's a November evening in Wisconsin (temperatures could dip into the 30s–50s), we recommend planning accordingly.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones and appreciate how much they mean to our families, our wedding will be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Our celebration is strictly RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your wedding invitation. If your invitation includes a plus one, feel free to bring a guest.

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will take place outdoors on the Barn Patio at weather permitting. The remainder of the wedding, including the cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing, will take place inside the Barn.

Question

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

After the ceremony, guests can head straight to the Barn, where we will be serving finger foods and beverages during a cocktail hour.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Help us get the party started on time. We recommend arriving by 15 to 30 minutes before the ceremony starts to allow time for parking, finding a seat, and settling in.

Question

Where should guests park?

Answer

There is ample complimentary parking available at the Bog. Drive along the south side of the parking lot and follow the signage to the Barn for easy access to the event spaces.

Question

Do you have a hotel block for guests?

Answer

TBD

Question

When is the RSVP deadline? TBD

Answer

Thank you in advance for sending your RSVP before October 7th, 2026. You can mail back the card enclosed in your invitation or simply RSVP right here on our wedding website.

Question

Are the ceremony and reception location wheelchair accessible?

Answer

Yes, both the ceremony and reception take place on the first floor, which is fully accessible with no steps required for the main event spaces. There is an open second-level area, but it is not necessary to access it to participate in the wedding celebration. Everything you need, including spacious indoor restrooms, is on the ground level.

Question

Where are you registered?

Answer

TBD

Question

Will transportation be provided to and from the hotel and wedding?

Answer

No, transportation will not be provided to or from the hotels and The Bog. We recommend planning ahead for rideshares or designating a driver for your group. Thank you for arranging safe transportation so everyone can enjoy the evening responsibly.

Question

Am I allowed to take photos at your ceremony? TBD

Answer

We kindly ask that the ceremony be unplugged with no photos or videos from guests, please. Our professional photographer and videographer will capture every special moment so you can fully be present and enjoy it without distractions. Feel free to take as many photos and videos as you'd like during the reception as we'd love to see your candid shots.
