We met in Brooklyn, at the House of Yes Christmas Spectacular on December 16, 2016 through a mutual friend. We connected over the fact that Mike's parents had just moved to Newtown, minutes down the road from where Maddy grew up. Mike provided Maddy with several Tahoe recommendations for her upcoming trip, which was another common interest of theirs. The next time we met was the following month at Ashley's 30th Birthday party on the Whiskey Town dance floor and we have been together ever since!

We planned a trip to France in the summer of 2019. On our second to last day we had lunch reservations in Eze Village, a beautiful village located on top of a hillside that you could reach by bus or hike to the top. Of course we opted for the hike, heat wave and all. Once we reached the top, overlooking the gardens along the hillside Mike spotted a young girl with her mom and asked them to take a photo of us. I questioned his decision of taking a photo at that moment because I was not in any condition to be photographed post hike. At that moment he dropped down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I laughed, I cried, and of course said YES!
