It all started in 2012 at the picnic tables outside ROTC in High School. They walked to breakfast together, talked, and talked some more. They would meet between classes, during lunch, then after school and on weekends. They were best friends, always together. They are still each others best friend, and so much more. In 2017 Carter planned a trip to a cabin in the mountains of Tennessee. Kayla always mentioned how much she loved the mountains, and how badly she always wanted to go, so for her birthday, he took her. They hiked, went crystal mining, walked around downtown enjoying the peace and fresh air together. On February 5th, 2017 Carter took Kayla to a beautiful river in the mountains where the question was asked. "Will you marry me?" The planning started that day, they were ecstatic to celebrate their big day together with everyone they loved. December 2017 came quickly, Carter had Enlisted in the United States Navy earlier that year and they worried they would never have their wedding day with their family and friends. They made the decision to get married at the Deland Courthouse. December 29th, 2017 would be the day, they promised forever. Now, 6 years later. May 26th, 2024 they finally get to have their day. Their day to pronounce their love to each other, with all the ones they hold dear to their hearts. They have loved each other for 11 years now, and have a lifetime to go. They can't wait to finally get to pronounce their love and celebrate with everyone.
