What should I know about traveling to Kiawah Island?

First and foremost, we are so excited you will be joining us for our wedding! For our out-of-town guests, we recommend flying in to Charleston International Airport, located approximately 50 minutes away from Kiawah Island. Our most convenient accommodation recommendations can be found on the Travel page of our website, and many additional options are available in Downtown Charleston, on AirBnB or VRBO. If not staying on Kiawah Island, we highly recommend utilizing a rental car for your trip, as rideshare services such as Uber or Lyft can be difficult to get on the island. Kiawah Island is semi-private, and car passes are required - this can be acquired at the entry gate when you arrive to the island.

Can I bring a guest, or kids?

Answer

If your save-the-date and invitation mentions "and Guest", then yes! Due to our budget and location, this is a 21+ event.

Question

Will the event be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our ceremony will be held outdoors on the Osprey Point Golf Course driving range, the cocktail hour on the covered veranda of the attached Clubhouse, and the reception will be held indoors in the Clubhouse ballroom.

What should I wear?

Answer

Cocktail attire is a great place to start, formal attire would be greatly appreciated. We encourage our guests to use this night as an excuse to dress your best!
