The beginning of Olivia and Casey's love story differs depending on who you ask. According to Casey, the two of them shared a study hall class back at West De Pere High School in 2014 (which is also backed up by Liv's Maid of Honor). Casey swears that Liv was always reading and that the first thing he ever remembers her saying was something about a book, which seems awfully fitting for the language arts teacher. Olivia's point-of-view, however, is a bit different in that she believes their story started as most modern ones do: with a swipe. Back in 2020, during Olivia's last semester at St. Norbert College, the two of them matched on a dating website. After talking for a few weeks, Casey asked Olivia out on a first date to Brick House. Feeling beyond nervous, Olivia nearly backed out; luckily, her roommates stepped in and encouraged her to go. Over a few beers and mojitos, the WDP alumni spent the evening catching up and getting to know one another. The first date went so well that Casey asked Olivia to hang out again the following day, and so began their relationship. The two spent the rest of that fall going on more dates, whether it was watching scary movies and eating pizza, going out for a drink, or just simply talking and learning more about one another. After meeting his family, Casey knew he wanted to make it official with Olivia and asked her to be his girlfriend on October 22, 2020. Shortly after, Olivia brought Casey up north for the first time to one of her favorite places: her family cottage. There, Casey met Olivia's immediate family and spent the day hopping from bar to bar in the Northwoods. They ended up spending a lot longer there than intended, and if you ask Olivia, she will adamantly tell you she knew Casey was the one the day he met her family. As time went on, the couple continued to fall more deeply in love. Sometimes, they simply spent time at home with their puppy, Spa, binge-watching Netflix. Other times, their adventures were more far more interesting, such as taking a spontaneous road trip to Nashville. Regardless of if they were at home in their sweats, out with the Kodanko Crew, or traveling, every moment helped their relationship grow to where it is now. On March 18th 2022, Casey asked Paul, Olivia's dad, for his blessing to marry his daughter. The conversation occurred over drinks before an Eric Chuch concert (two of both Casey and Paul's favorite things). Of course, Paul happily gave Casey his blessing. Two months later, on May 28th, Casey got down on one knee back at Olivia's family cottage, which became a place very special for the both of them and asked her to marry him. Surrounded by family and Olivia’s best friend, the couple celebrated by popping a bottle of Veuve Cliquot and listening to their favorite music.
