Bride
Anne hails from Washington state in the glorious Pacific Northwest, and has the vampirically pale complexion and in-depth knowledge of salmon and volcanoes to prove it. She moved to Nashville for a job opportunity in 2021, and has enjoyed building a life in Tennessee. Anne loved Josh right away, but confirmed he was several leagues above the average Hinge date when he stayed on the phone for over 25 minutes to give her step-by-step driving directions around a stopped train en route to their third date. Take note, ladies and gents: there's nothing more romantic than a man who knows how to skillfully navigate local infrastructure!
Groom
Josh is living proof that the musician-to-attorney pipeline is alive and well. He grew up on the shores of Maryland, and came to Nashville in 2009 with a set of drumsticks and a dream. Josh toured as a professional drummer for five years, before pivoting (read: selling out) to the noble profession of law in 2018. He knew Anne was the one the day he met her, exclaiming "I can't believe you exist!" on their first date. In fact, he never learned to play it cool. He was often guilty of oversharing a plan or dream for their future together before catching himself to add: "well - if this is to continue, of course."
Matron of Honor
As if ripped from the pages of an Austen novel, Jane is our protagonist's beautiful older sister. After spending her whole life pinning everything Jane ever said or did to her personal vision board, it's safe to say that Anne is thrilled to have her lifelong BFF/Hero/Ride or Die standing by her side as she ties the knot. Jane knew Josh was the one when Anne described the feeling of being with him as "just easy. No guessing games, or games of any kind. Just transparent mutual affection." Her hunch about Josh sticking around for the duration was solidified shortly thereafter, when Anne added him to the sacred space of the family group chat. (*insert "one does not simply walk into..." meme here*)
Best Man
A man of infinite talents and a prodigious amount of nicknames, Zach is one of Josh’s oldest friends. Whether it be a showdown on the dusty fields of their elementary school, the drum line at a high school football game, or a’sea with a busted boat, you can count on Zach at all times. Often called the “heart” of their friend group, Zach truly is one of the best men. So, it made all the sense in the world for Zach to be by Josh’s side, like he always has, on his special day.
Officiant
In a story brought to you by the Letter 'A', Aaron and Anne met in 2015, as coworkers at Airbnb. Through their tenure as colleagues they became close friends, and have remained prominently in each other's lives through changing jobs, cross-country moves to Nashville and Chicago, respectively, and the general separation of one (1) global pandemic. Anne chose to celebrate a decade of friendship with Aaron by asking him to buy an expensive suit, travel across state lines, and stand up to speak in front of scores of people he's never met to bind her legally to the love of her life. Thankfully, as both an actor and spokesperson by trade (seriously!), he was not only up for the job, but ecstatic to do it. Aaron knew Josh was the one for Anne when she described him as "Straight Aaron." In fact, Aaron and Josh - two 1991 Aquarians, both alike in dignity - became instant friends, with a Venn Diagram of shared interests that is practically a circle. Aaron looks forward to officiating "so [he] can finally spend a moment with Anne and Josh where he can get a word in edgewise, because [he'll] have the mic." 🙄
